Thame Youth Memorial

A touching tribute produced by Stoneworld

We were approached to supply stone paving and walling, and to make the sculpture for a garden in memory of Thame’s youths who have passed away tragically early. Thame Youth Memorial was officially opened on 29th September 2013.

The stone for the sculpture was a single large piece of Carrara marble.

Working from a scale model, a computer image was produced and our stone carving robot was programmed to upscale the final model. Working 24 hours per day over several weeks the sculpture was produced on the robot, our programmable digital carver, then finished by hand before final placement in the corner of the memorial garden. The engraved Nero Impala granite and White Mint paviers were also fabricated on the robot.
