At home in Black Sandstone: a countryside treasure

At home in Black Sandstone: a countryside treasure

This magnificent project, hidden in the English Countryside, features copings, paving and interior natural stone flooring from Stoneworld.

The hard landscaping surrounding the house and pool house was created using tumbled black sandstone pavingThis stunning stone with subtle tones of black, dark grey and brown sits perfectly in its surroundings, capturing the feel and essence of antique reclaimed stone which beautifully compliments the property.

Black Sandstone Pool and Wall Copings were also supplied to maintain consistency. All copings were tumbled and calibrated to 30mm thickness and were bull-nosed on one side to provide a perfect finish.

Inside the stunning pool house, we laid our Avonbridge Limestone Floor Tiles. This beautiful richly coloured limestone floor tile with golden tones has a fine sandblasted surface with a sawn edge, giving the room a real contemporary feel.

Insights and tips

To bring the colour out of your stone, we highly recommend using Rob Parker’s Best Colour Enhancing Sealer. This will help bring the stone to life whilst also protecting the surface from staining and deterioration.

If you would like to create a paving area using our stone, we suggest purchasing Resiply – a resin based jointing compound to point your project. Resiply is available for purchase in a variety of colours from our website.

Oak Flooring Project

Oak Flooring Project

Oak Flooring Project using Brushed Light Smoked Boards

In this project the customer chose oak board flooring from the Brushed Range, in the Light Smoked finish

This is an old property, and the smoked finish gives some depth to the colour, ensuring the new floor looks like it has been there a long time, just like the beams!

Each board has a micro bevel on the long edges, making a super close fit achievable.

Each board in the Brushed range is 2400mm long and each board is 180mm wide. Other width options are available within the range

The extra thick quality of our engineered oak flooring makes this a really sound investment: 20.5mm thick board comprising 6mm oak veneer on 14.5mm birch ply backing creates a very hard-wearing product.

We have 5 different styles available  in our oak flooring range, each with its own distinctive characteristics.
