The Next Generation of Stone

It is undeniable that the stone industry is filled with highly skilled and passionate people. At Stoneworld, we are proud to be developing the next generation of stone professionals, through extensive training and growth opportunities, established pathways and shared experience. We chatted with our youngest and newest recruits to find out their experiences as they start out in their careers in natural stone.

Our team are the lifeblood of our business, which have helped us grow and thrive over two decades in the industry. In this series of interviews, we talk to some of our newest members, many of whom had no prior experience in stone. to find out how they started, and what their experiences have been. We also explain how Stoneworld help our new colleagues develop and thrive as experts in natural stone.

Training

Training is a key pillar of our philosophy. Our departments have established training and development systems to ensure each new employee is given the skills and tools they need to excel, and that our experience is constantly passed on and shared.

Courses, internal training and development, benchmarking and feedback all flow into our continuous improvement culture – meaning new recruits can expect hands on experience, and expert guidance while ensuring their own goals and expectations are heard and incorporated into their career plans.
