Cabochon floor tiles: a case study from Stoneworld

If you are looking for a sense of traditional luxury, look no further than this beautiful cabochon style flooring.

Made using our very popular La Roche acid-etched limestone floor tiles, and accent tiles made of Spanish Black Marble, this bespoke flooring creates a classically timeworn, antiqued feel to the property.

The pattern has been achieved by water-jet cutting every tile to the correct shape and size. The La Roche floor tiles are 700 x 700mm, and have had their corners cut off, and the Spanish Black Marble floor tiles have been precision-cut to 100 x 100mm.

The contrasting colours and tones of the two stone types complement each other very well, and add beautiful detail to the flooring. These Victorian floor tiles would be perfect for any hallway, kitchen or bathroom, and they are even suitable for under floor heating.

If you are looking to add extra detail, we can create bespoke border tiles or step treads, as well as any other bespoke items you require. With our on-site masonry workshop and skilled craftsmen, we can provide everything you need in stone.

This client chose to add a bespoke natural stone staircase in the same La Roche stone, with a brushed and honed finish, which echoed the cabochon floor tiles beautifully.
