Porcelain Tiles
Porcelain tiles are a smart choice for high traffic interiors that need hardwearing, low porosity surfaces without sacrificing design. Stoneworld supplies porcelain floor and wall tiles in a range of formats, from classic modules to large format sheets that create calm, continuous spaces in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and living areas. Our porcelain tile ranges include stone effect, concrete effect and marble inspired designs selected to sit comfortably alongside our natural stone portfolio. Most interior tiles are typically around 9–10 mm thick for floors, with slimmer options for walls, giving installers a predictable, rectified product that is straightforward to set out and grout.

Walling and flooring
Porcelain tiles can be used on both walls and floors, depending on the thickness. At Stoneworld, we have a great variety of porcelain tile products, suitable for both walling and flooring. We can help you decide which products are right for your project, depending on your requirements.
Large format
Large format porcelain sheets are a fabulous new material for interior design projects. The format allows porcelain to be used in exciting new ways to create contemporary homes. Our range features styles that mimic luxurious natural materials such as limestones and marbles.
Bespoke
Stoneworld can also create bespoke porcelain flooring, if you require it. For example, if you would like a bespoke piece of flooring to surround your fireplace or wood burner, we can do that for you, and lots more.
Porcelain tiles are well suited to kitchens and bathrooms because of their low porosity, hard surface and resistance to everyday staining when correctly specified and maintained. Rectified porcelain with an appropriate surface finish can offer good slip performance in wet areas, particularly when matt or lightly textured options are selected instead of highly polished faces. As with any material, the overall result depends on substrate preparation, waterproofing and drainage details, which should be confirmed with your installer or designer.
Most interior porcelain tiles from Stoneworld are compatible with underfloor heating because of their stability and good thermal conductivity. Tile thicknesses in the typical 9–10 mm range allow heat to transfer effectively while maintaining strength, provided the heating system and screed are designed in line with manufacturer guidance. Where underfloor heating is part of the specification, we recommend confirming expansion joints, adhesive choice and maximum operating temperatures with your heating and fixing manufacturers rather than relying on generic assumptions.
