We are excited to announce the introduction of a brand new product to our natural stone range: Moleanos Sablino limestone. This product has a unique finish and was developed for a customer to suit the requirements of their project. The product was so successful that we have now made it part of our permanent range.
The process of choosing the stone
Our customer approached Stoneworld looking for a limestone with soft, cream to grey undertones to suit their Cotswold stone property and existing York stone paving area. We were able to source the perfect limestone for our client, in bespoke sizes (600width x running lengths) that were similar to the format of their current York patio.
This magnificent stone is sourced from Portugal, and is very versatile. Whether you are looking to use it for paving, pool copings, wall copings, step treads or bespoke features, Moleanos Sablino is an excellent choice.
The client wanted tumbled edges to soften the appearance of the stone, so as to avoid a very modern aesthetic which would not sit well with their more traditional property. As a result, we designed a finish on our Moleanos Sablino stone to give a tumbled effect, with softly rounded edges but maintaining a slip-resistant finish on the surface.
Moleanos Sablino is a soft, cream coloured limestone, perfect for bringing a sense of sophistication and elegance to any project. This stone blends very well with the existing Cotswold stone and natural wood furniture chosen by the client.
We also provided bespoke one-piece pool corners, fabricated in our on-site masonry workshop, from the same Moleanos Sablino stone. This takes away the need for a joint at the corners of the pool, where normally two separate copings would meet.
