The event brought together art, community, craftsmanship and generosity, all in aid of two organisations doing meaningful work to support young people, education and creative opportunity. We were delighted to be part of an evening that not only celebrated talent but also raised an incredible £19,500 for such a worthwhile cause. We loved seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they won their awards, and seeing the array of fantastic artwork entered into the competition. We thoroughly recommend any Oxfordshire families with school age children to encourage their schools to participate in the Young Arts Oxford competition!
Hosted in the inspiring surroundings of the Ashmolean Museum, the exhibition showcased the power of creativity to bring people together. It was a fantastic reminder that when local businesses, charities, artists and supporters collaborate, the results can be genuinely impactful.
As part of Stoneworld’s contribution, our workshop team created a set of hand-crafted Carrara marble platters for one of the raffle prizes. Carrara marble has long been admired for its timeless beauty, elegant white background and soft grey veining. It was a fitting material for a prize that reflected both artistry and traditional craftsmanship.
Each platter was carefully made by hand, with attention given to the finish, shape and detail. For us, it was a privilege to contribute something made in our own workshop, using the skills and knowledge that sit at the heart of Stoneworld. Stone has always been more than just a material to us. It carries heritage, permanence and character. The fact that it can be used to support a charitable event made the project even more meaningful.
We are incredibly grateful to have played a small part in helping raise funds for Rafiki Thabo Foundation and Young Arts Oxford. Both organisations continue to make a positive difference, and it was encouraging to see so many people come together in support of their work.
A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising the exhibition, to Hadingham Kirk for sponsoring the event alongside us and everyone who attended, donated, bought raffle tickets and helped make the evening such a success.
At Stoneworld, we believe strongly in supporting initiatives that invest in people, creativity and community. This event was a clear example of what can be achieved when good causes are backed by collective effort.
We were honoured to contribute, proud of what was raised and grateful to be part of such a memorable occasion.
