Project Overview
At Calan Haf, a black weatherboarded house tucked behind brick and flint walls in Oxfordshire, every step of the arrival, from lane to front door, is now told in natural stone.
A herringbone path of Sanditon Purbeck British pitchers leads the way, its grey and buff tones shifting from stone to stone, so the pattern reads as texture rather than repetition. The same Purbeck carries on as pitchers, framing the path and garden and running beneath the car porch, so one stone ties the whole scheme together.
La Roche limestone brings in light: soft cream paving on the courtyard and terraces, coping along the flint walls, and a single bullnose-edged door step where its delicate fossils catch the eye on the way in.
Around it all, honey-toned Cotswold Shale settles across the forecourt, warm and calm, letting the path rise clear of it.
Granite setts give kerb side a crisp and long lasting edge, and a bespoke house sign completes the home.
