Project Overview
Open Country House is a private indoor pool complex delivered by Brickell Pools, set beneath a vaulted ceiling and filled with natural light from an impressive run of roof lanterns. The cool grey porcelain surround and precision-fabricated pool copings demonstrate what can be achieved when careful specification, high-quality material and accurate fabrication come together.
Porcelain is a strong choice for pool environments, offering durability, low porosity and a wide range of design options. Stoneworld’s porcelain collection includes warm creamy tones, cool contemporary greys, natural stone-effect textures and clean, smooth finishes, giving designers and pool specialists the flexibility to suit a broad range of architectural styles. Stoneworld fabricates pool copings and Roman ends from any porcelain in the range, shaped and profiled to suit the individual requirements of each project. The semi-circular Roman end at Open Country House is one of the more technically demanding coping formats to produce. Each section has to be cut cleanly and consistently to follow the curve, while maintaining a refined finish across the full pool edge.
Working with 20mm porcelain for full coping pieces, or 10mm porcelain where a slimmer, lighter profile is required, Stoneworld’s workshop can produce straight copings, curved ends, bullnose edges, pencil rounds and cantilevered overhangs. Every detail is made to suit the pool design, the selected porcelain and the finish required.
