The owners have created a stunning garden in a rural landscape setting featuring a contemporary swimming pool lined with porcelain tiles. The backdrop of a glorious colourful meadow landscape offsets the drama of the black swimming pool.
Stoneworld stone and porcelain products were used in this contemporary but relaxed project.
Standard Pool Copings:
Black Limestone Pool Copings from our Standard Range have been used here.
This contemporary swimming pool features Black Riven limestone pool copings. Measuring 600 x 310 x 30mm, these copings have a slightly riven surface with one long edge bullnosed. These are part of our Standard range, which are always in stock.

The pool has added drama created by using porcelain pool lining tiles. Rio Black slate style porcelain tiles 600 x 300 x 10mm have been used here.
Using porcelain tiles to line a swimming pool is a great new trend in pool design. These tiles are available in extra large format to add even more drama.
The dark colour creates the appearance of a deep black expanse of water which draws the eye into the pool space.
Stone and Porcelain Steps:
Steps into the pool are also made from the same Rio Black Slate style Porcelain tiles. The tile surface is riven giving a very realistic and natural effect. Plus the riven surface gives a tactile and safe pool surface. Porcelain tiles are completely frost proof and non porous, helping to keep this pool low maintenance.
York Stone Paving Landscaping around the site:
Further landscaping on this project features one of our 7 York stone paving options. Lambton Self Faced York Stone is laid on paths and steps around the garden leading to the pool and tennis courts. This beautiful material is available in both a sturdy 38-65mm thickness and a thinner 30mm version, both in 600mm running lengths. We have supplied both on this project.
The earthy traditional tones of real York Stone cannot be beaten for elegance! York Stone is a traditional paving material that has been used in UK building for hundreds of years. The subtle colouring of this stone immediately sits comfortably within this landscape.
This is a really clever design that successfully mixes contemporary and natural elements.
