La Roche Limestone Garden & Water Feature

Nestled within the British countryside, is a project that captures the essence of La Roche Limestone. This project showcases the work of Rosemary Coldstream, a prominent garden designer in the UK.

The project utilised Stoneworld La Roche limestone interior flooring to create a beautiful, welcoming pool house. Outside, the bespoke pool copings and acid etched La Roche paving offer a bright, slip resistant pool area which leads to the innovative dining and entertaining area.

Bespoke Pool Area

The project includes a sizeable pool area, paved in our La Roche Acid Etched paving, and features bespoke pool copings, cut and fabricated to measure for the project to create curved ends. Our exterior La Roche limestone is acid etched to create a slip resistant finish which is safe for use in wet areas such as pools and patios. The delicate fossil marking and luxurious cream tones make it one of our most popular premium limestones.

Bespoke Water Feature

The garden features a water feature designed by Rosemary Coldstream, which incorporates La Roche Limestone fabricated to measure for this piece by our experts in our state of the art Oxfordshire masonry workshop. Our team worked with the customer to create a bold feature while also having longevity. Issues such as the flow of the water through the design were discussed, and a made to measure solution was found. The water feature offers a quiet, relaxing corner to enjoy the peace of the Buckinghamshire countryside.

Outdoor Kitchen

The once shabby tennis court that used to be here has been renovated into an outdoor kitchen and entertainment area using La Roche limestone, Purbeck walling, and a warm fireplace. Fabricated in our masonry workshop the bespoke La Roche slab, which is 50mm thick and complements the fireplace, has been strengthened for use as seating. The project is complemented with La Roche stepping stones, unifying the space.

Purbeck

Purbeck walling has been incorporated into the entertainment area, complementing with the surrounding countryside and the Purbeck Boulders seen throughout the garden. The Purbeck boulders, with their natural warm colour and weathered texture creates a rustic feel and were the perfect method to add an extra dimension to the project.

La Roche Guesthouse

Next to the pool, is a guesthouse that prominently showcases La Roche Tumbled Acid-Etched interior flooring. The entrance features a bespoke 4.8-meter-long bullnosed La Roche step and the lounge, kitchen and bathroom areas continue the use of this La Roche, adding warmth and sophistication to these spaces. The living room also features a La Roche limestone shelf, fabricated and bullnosed to measure in our workshop.
