This project was completed with two beautifully contrasting stones; White Mint and Kandla Grey.
This client wanted the wow-factor for the exterior design of their home, to suit their family-oriented lifestyle, along with an impressive space to entertain guests. They chose our very popular White Mint honed sandstone paving for their pool surrounds, and opted to combine this with Stoneworld’s Kandla Grey sawn and sandblasted sandstone pool copings.
The Kandla Grey copings formed a striking border around the swimming pool. Stoneworld also provided bespoke made-to-measure step treads from the Kandla Grey stone, adding further detail to the landscaping design.
The Kandla Grey copings were fabricated in our on-site masonry workshop, and were finished with a contemporary pencil-rolled edge. The pool copings have been sawn and sandblasted, meaning they are smooth but also suitably slip-resistant. We sandblast the Kandla Grey stone finely to add a slip-resistant surface without it being too rough underfoot.
By finishing the stone in this way, this makes for a sophisticated and cutting-edge finish, whilst being safe to use around a swimming pool.
